supportive. comprehensive. service-centered.

Many laboratories do little more than collect your samples, process them and send them back. Southwest Labs is different. Our dedication to supporting our physician clients and their staff is unending. So is our dedication to making a real change in the drug problem in New Mexico by helping medical practices establish, maintain, and improve their patient drug monitoring programs. Consider every member of Southwest Labs to be your partner, your advocate, and your support system in all aspects of your patient monitoring protocols. And because Southwest Labs is owned, operated, and located in New Mexico, and focused on providing impeccable client services, you can be sure we deliver on our promise.

Comprehensive Turnkey Programs (CTP)

Some medical practices have outdated or inadequate patient monitoring protocols, and little time or resources to do anything about it, despite desire to do so. Southwest Labs will work with physicians and their staff to implement a program that requires little practice time to initiate, operate, and maintain. A quality program will significantly increase effectiveness, elevate patient care and monitoring, and reduce medication diversion and drug abuses.

Rapid Turnaround Standard (RTS)

When the principals of Southwest Labs made the decision to start their own toxicology lab, they were acutely aware that out-of-state and out-of-date laboratories were not providing the level of service local doctors and their staff deserve and need to provide optimal patient care. Often turnaround times were too long and sometimes sporadic, causing unnecessary delays and questionable reliability. Southwest Labs processes tests locally in New Mexico, so rapid turn around times are standard. Period. Plus, SWL staff are available to answer questions, address concerns, and accommodate special needs at almost anytime.

Training & Educational Assistance (TEA)

A truly effective and functional medical practice testing protocol extends far beyond collecting samples and reporting results. Every Southwest Labs team member knows this, and that is why we have developed educational and training programs for physicians, support staff, patients, and others to help enhance the accuracy of testing, advise on delicate and sensitive handling of patients, and optimize reporting.

Practice Optimization Assessment (POA)

Many medical practices have mature and functional patient testing protocols in place. However, technologies, methodologies, rules, regulations, and reporting are always changing. Furthermore, best practices and improvements that can enhance the monitoring process in a medical practice may be missing. Upon request, Southwest Labs can provide a patient testing protocol assessment which can reveal opportunities for optimization which can make your program easier to administer, more accurate, more compliant, and safer for your patients.

Custom Program Design (CPD)

Since Southwest Labs is local and service-centric, we have the ability to custom configure testing protocols that specifically suit the needs of your practice and patients. Just ask.
